In at the deep end

This first exhibition since college brought together a series of ceramic portrait sculptures, photographs, drawings, pastels and paintings.  Family, friends, work colleagues, former evening class students and fellow ceramics practitioners saw me 'jump in at the deep end', after many years of quietly producing the artworks, occasionally for a commission, but more often than not simply for my own enjoyment, and to fulfil the need to create.  It was the first time in many years that I had offered a number of works for sale, and a few pieces - including one little Turner-inspired view of Venice - sold very quickly, and were gone before I was really ready not to see them again.
