Twenty-two portrait heads

This show combined pencil and chalk drawings after Holbein, a series of oil portraits, several inspired by late C19th works, and a number of large ceramic portrait heads. The show tracked my progress across three years or so of clay handling, from the first attempt at a Classical head, to portraits which were a very good likeness.  The majority of these heads, having been glazed, are weatherproof, and have lived outside in the intervening years, accumulating moss and lichen which adds to their character.
