A change of medium, and a new source of inspiration!  A visit to friends in Cornwall resulted in the chance diiscovery of a batch of pastels at a car boot fair, and another visit to Kurt Jackson's gallery in St Just set me on a new trail. I've not used pastels for years! Using KJ's compositions to get me started, and a couple of my own photos, I've ended doing up doing 2 or 3 sketches every evening.  After 30, the sketchbook is full, and I now have some ideas for a series of paintings.  Images don't necessarily show true colours, but the sketches below show the range of river and seascapes produced in a matter of two-three weeks. All images are on pages c9.5 ins (24cms) x 7 ins (18cms).
